How can we use mobile data for better transportation planning?
Emerging data sources such as cell phones can help us undertake transportation and land-use research. I’ve teamed up with the City of Montreal to launch a mobile app that will allow us to learn more about how citizens navigate from point A to point B.
My name is Zachary Patterson, and I’m an associate professor of geography, planning and environment in the Faculty of Arts and Science, and Canada Research Chair in Transportation-Land Use Linkages for Regional Sustainability.
