New leadership strengthens inclusive governance at Volt-Age

Volt-Age is expanding its leadership, bringing in four new governance committee members and a key internal appointment to advance inclusive, community-driven research in sustainable electrification.
Two Concordia leaders are bringing their expertise in Indigenous governance and equity to Volt-Age’s executive committee. Manon Tremblay, Senior Director of Indigenous Directions, ensures Indigenous knowledge shapes the initiative’s strategy. Lisa White, Executive Director of the Equity Office, leads institutional efforts on systemic change and anti-oppression, including the Black Perspectives Office and Sexual Assault Resource Centre.
Volt-Age’s Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Committee features strengthened leadership. Krystle van Hoof, CEO of Healthy Brains, Healthy Lives, brings more than 20 years of experience across the non-profit sector, federal government and UN, leading programs that make research inclusive and community focused.
Karim Zaghib, Volt-Age CEO, will co-chair the committee with Tanja Tajmel, Associate Professor at the Centre for Engineering in Society, bridging research, government and industry to drive systems-level change.
Jennifer Garard is now Director of Engagement, Living Labs and EDI, applying her decade of experience and PhD on stakeholder engagement to advance Volt-Age’s collaborative, community-driven mission.
