After working side by side for many years, the Concordia University Alumni Assocation (CUAA), Loyola Alumni Association (LAA) and the Association of Alumni of Sir George Williams University (AASGWU) have joined forces.

“We are united in our efforts to support the university in its mission, to promote Concordia and help its students in any way we can,” said Philippe Pourreaux, president of the CUAA, which represents 188,000 alumni worldwide.

Historically representing graduates of Concordia’s two founding institutions, the LAA and AASGWU will now operate as founding chapters of the CUAA. The decision was unanimously approved May 28 during special general meetings of the CUAA, LAA and AASGWU.

“From this day forward, our motto — Concordia salus — which means well-being through harmony, is especially meaningful. Together, we are stronger,” said Bram Freedman, vice-president, Development and External Relations, and Secretary-General.
