Historically representing graduates of Concordia’s two founding institutions, the LAA and AASGWU will now operate as founding chapters of the CUAA. The decision was unanimously approved May 28 during special general meetings of the CUAA, LAA and AASGWU.
“From this day forward, our motto — Concordia salus — which means well-being through harmony, is especially meaningful. Together, we are stronger,” said Bram Freedman, vice-president, Development and External Relations, and Secretary-General.
Freedman thanked the members of the amalgamation committee: Philippe Pourreaux BComm 00; Steven Avram, BEng 71; MEng 85; Donal Ryan, BComm 67; Jeff Bicher, BA 02; Gerald Burke, BA 69; Frank Ciampini, BA 72; and John Lemieux, BA 66.
