My community. My choice.

That’s the theme of this year’s Community Campaign, now in full swing at Concordia.

The university’s annual internal fundraising appeal — for faculty, staff and retirees — offers an endless variety of areas to support: research, faculties, libraries, athletics programs, scholarships, bursaries and more.

“I give to support my students,” says Yogen Chaubey, chair and professor, Department of Mathematics and Statistics, who appears on a 2014 Community Campaign poster.

“I give to support my arts community,” says Shannon Gilead, alumni officer, Faculties, and a graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts, another face of the campaign.

“The key is to give to an area you care most about and that is meaningful to you,” says Roseman, development officer, Community Programs. She gives to Concordia’s Greatest Needs.

“I give to Concordia as a token of appreciation toward the community where I developed professionally,” says Chaubey. “I consider Concordia my family and believe every member who can must contribute to its growth.”

“Any amount makes a difference,” says Roseman.

“With many faculty and staff supporting our students, it’s the combined effect of our giving that will translate into helping our students obtain a quality university education and provide them with opportunities they might not have otherwise.”

Giving is easy through payroll deduction or a one-time gift online or by phone at 514-848-2424, ext. 3884.

Make your choice and give today to be counted in this year’s campaign, ending April 30.
