Sept. 21: The Future of Artificial Intelligence
From education to transportation, artificial intelligence is rapidly transforming everyday life.
To help prepare students and alumni for this emerging technology, Concordia will present a panel of experts to discuss the questions and considerations of letting machines do our thinking for us.
The Future of Artificial Intelligence will be moderated by Jennifer Hollett, BA 97, the award-winning executive director of The Walrus.
She will be joined by Rina Carlini, BSc 93, president and founder of the Optimal Innovation Group, Wahab Hamou Lhadj, professor of Concordia’s Applied AI Institute, and Allan Benchetrit, MBA 91, president and CEO of Algolux.
Hear what these Concordia experts have to share on the potential impacts of AI, including bias and ethics, health care, the future of work, art and entertainment.
George Lengvari, BA 63, will enter the Sports Hall of Fame in the builder category for his long-standing service to Concordia, which includes a major gift in support of varsity basketball.
Concordia’s 1973 men’s soccer team will reunite at Homecoming 2023 to celebrate its 50th anniversary. Members of the team are pictured above at their 45th-anniversary reunion in 2018.
