Concordia University and Applied AI
We unite AI development by coordinating research across Concordia's four faculties in collaboration with business, civil society, governments, and other researchers.
Our mission is to demystify and enable real-world applications of artificial intelligence. We encourage researchers across the sciences, engineering, arts, business and humanities to put AI into practice and to consider how AI can be taken up to improve the status quo.

Research clusters
Concordia has more than 105 researchers and nine research centres grouped under three clusters:
Society
Developing core AI applications while questioning their impact on all members of society.
Science
Creating deep learning methods for medical imaging which have evolved to the point where these AI systems outperform expert clinicians in several areas.
Emerging technology
Integrating AI into smart cities, industry and manufacturing and aerospace.
