August 30, 2022

Dear Concordians,

I hope you’ve had a great summer and are as excited about the new academic year as I am. Our two campuses are once again buzzing with life as we enjoy a return to relative normalcy.

Student Successes

This year is sure to be as full of discovery and success as last year, when Concordia students:

Concordia’s Great Reputation

Expanding Experiential Learning

We continue to expand our popular experiential learning opportunities, which help students set career goals, gain practical experience and successfully transition to the world of work.

Starting this September, all new undergraduate students will have the chance to take part in at least one course-based experiential learning opportunity over the course of your degree. Depending on your program, that might be a capstone design course, internship course, lab, industry project, challenge, simulation, performance, portfolio, demonstration or some other hands-on experience. Inquire with your department — new opportunities are opening up all the time.

Meet New People

I hope to see you at one of our informal back-to-school get-togethers:

  • Sir George Williams Campus: Wednesday, September 14, 9-11 a.m., EV Atrium
  • Loyola Campus: Thursday, September 15, 2-4 p.m., Loyola Grove (rain backup: SP Atrium)

Have a great fall term!

Graham Carr

President and Vice-Chancellor
