Winter 2022 classes will begin online

December 17, 2021
|

In response to the rapidly shifting public health situation, Concordia is adjusting its plans for the start of the winter 2022 term.

While public health authorities monitor the impact of the Omicron variant and the overall COVID-19 situation, Concordia will begin the winter 2022 term online.

Classes will be online for the first week

From January 6 to 12, all instruction will be delivered remotely, with the exception of certain labs. Departments will be in touch with their groups once these labs are confirmed.

In-person classes are scheduled to resume on January 13. However, it’s important to be mindful of how the pandemic is evolving. Depending on the recommendations of public health authorities, we may need to make further adjustments to our planning in January.

We are committed to keeping you informed, so be sure to monitor your email for updates.

No impact on research, Library or Student Services

Research activities are not affected and can continue in person as planned.

The Webster and Vanier Libraries, the Birks Student Services Centre and other student services will reopen in person on January 6, 2022, as planned. Residences will remain open.

We will be sending an update about on-campus events soon.

Key health and safety measures remain in place

The measures we put in place to protect the health and safety of the Concordia community during the pandemic remain in place.

Resources are available to those in need of support

If you are a student who is feeling isolated, in crisis or in need of support, there are several resources available
