The annual John Molson Undergraduate Case Competition (JMUCC) is the largest of its kind in the world. For its 13th year, the organizers of the international competition have adapted the event to run entirely online, to respect COVID-19 health and safety measures.

“This year will test delegates on a whole new level,” explains Charles Roy, president of JMUCC. “With the new work reality, this case competition is going to be a great opportunity for delegates to showcase their innovative spirit and what they can achieve in a virtual setting.”

Between February 28 and March 6, the competition will virtually host 150 participants from 28 schools across 13 countries.

“The John Molson Undergraduate Case Competition is a flagship event for our school,” notes Anne-Marie Croteau, dean of the John Molson School of Business. “Case-based learning is critical in our curriculum and offers real-world perspective on the theories discussed in class. It’s an invaluable experiential learning opportunity that we believe helps prepare our students for the realities ahead of them.”

“Our competition allows delegates to connect with people from all across the world and share an immersive and hands-on experience in solving real-life business problems,” Roy adds.

“The unique combination of educational challenges and networking opportunities makes our competition truly unique. We’re confident that that spirit will transpire through the online format.”
