As a result of a great deal of creative and strategic thinking across our campus this academic year, we now have a draft document that articulates our preliminary game plan for pursuing Concordia’s strategic directions. We’re now seeking feedback from our community on this document.

The game plan pulls together priority actions generated during extensive planning work undertaken in our Faculties and Schools, Libraries, and administrative and service units. It also integrates the work of ad hoc committees and groups that drafted cross-institutional strategies for four of our strategic directions.

Some of this planning work is still ongoing, and additional emerging priorities will be folded into our game plan as we move forward. This kind of flexible planning model underscores our intent to avoid a kind of rigid lock-in that prevents us from seizing opportunities as they arise.

To provide feedback on the preliminary game plan, you can respond to three simple questions via an online form, or you can email me directly at president@concordia.ca. Please send in your thoughts by Friday, May 6. We look forward to hearing your input.

I’d like to express my deep appreciation to everyone who has participated in various planning efforts over the course of the year. It’s been a lot of work, I know, but I think you’ll agree that we’ve generated a deep pool of great ideas, and that we’re in for some exciting years ahead as we make these ideas real. Thank you.

President
