“It’s a real cute, unique place to have a party,” says Sheena Swirlz, services coordinator for the greenhouse.

Things are going to get very spooky at the Concordia Greenhouse.

A zombie apocalypse is the theme for the fifth annual Halloween Party, happening tonight, October 29, at 7 p.m.

Don’t miss your chance to dress up as one of the undead and boogie to the tunes of The Dusty Faces. The folk band will be putting on a haunted set between 7 and 8 p.m.

After the live music wraps up, the bash will turn into an electro-swing dance shindig.

“It’s a really cute, unique place to have a party,” says Sheena Swirlz, services coordinator for the greenhouse. “We usually have more quiet parties where people sit around and listen to a band, but this year we’re going to have dancing.”

The dry event is free to attend. Complimentary tea, popcorn, pumpkin seeds, sprouts and other snacks will be served.

While you won’t be refused entry if you don’t show up in costume, wearing one is strongly encouraged.

The free Concordia Greenhouse Halloween Party runs from 7 p.m. until 10:30 p.m.

The greenhouse provides a year-round, all-organic space that fosters community, provides experiential learning opportunities and grows healthy food.
