Concordia Stingers show students how to stay fit with simple props, part of Financial Literacy Week at Concordia November 18 to 22, 2013, hosted by Student Services.

Buzz was on hand with Concordia Strength and Conditioning coach Lisa-Marie Breton-Lebreux and Stinger athletes to help students learn how to crack a no-cost sweat any time, anywhere – and have fun doing it. Visit the athletics website to see free times at our recreation facilities and access great student rates.

Financial Literacy Week at Concordia

Amy Barrington was the lucky winner of the iPad Mini draw from among 200 students who submitted tips for living on a budget during Financial Literacy Week. Congratulations Amy!

Amy’s tip? “Use it up. Wear it out. Make do or do without”, a popular saying.

Some best tips from students:

  1. Pack a lunch
  2. Consider what you need versus what you want
  3. Track what you spend each week to see where money is going
  4. Listen to your grandma’s advice on budgeting
