Filmmaker Documents Coastal Concerns

Elizabeth Miller, a Professor of Communication Studies, produces films and other media that connect individuals across cultures. Her most recent work is a collaborative online documentary titled “The Shoreline Project,” a series of  documentary style videos exploring the issues facing coastal communities around the world. The series is paired with a number of educational resources, creating a compelling tool to teach students about climate change and its impact on coastal communities.  

Professor Miller authored an inspiring article for The Conversation to describe both the goals of the "The Shoreline Project" and provide insight into the unique, collaboraitve approach she used to engage filmakers around the world. The peice was subsequenlty republished in the National Post.
