Honouring our MA and PhD recipients

On December 11, 2023, the Department of Religions and Cultures hosted a Symposium/Celebration in honour of the twenty-two students who were awarded an MA (17 students) or a PhD (5 students) in calendar years 2022 and 2023. The range of topics they researched and the quality of their scholarly achievements is truly worth celebrating. From a thesis on the Church of Satan (Cimminnee Holt, PhD 2022) to a project entitled "A Queer Archive of the Modern Mary Magdalene" (Sophia Cirignano, MA 2022) to a project on autobiographical writing by Jewish Canadian women (Isabel Davies, MA 2023) to a project entitled "Fasting Narratives and the Creation of Spiritual Identity among Lay Jain and Hindu Women" (Mark Smith, MA 2023) and much more ...
