In the same spirit as the Resisting Colonizations symposium held last April—and as part of an ongoing effort to nurture collective reflection and resistance—the CSLP is proud to help promote a powerful new podcast series: Resisting Colonizations: Healing Narratives.
Produced in collaboration with the Canadian Practitioners Network for the Prevention of Extremist Violence (CPN-PREV), Concordia University’s Indigenous Healing Knowledges Chair, Recherche et Action sur les Polarisations Sociales (RAPS), UQAM, Espace Culturel Kawalees كواليس, and Université Laval, this series reclaims the power of voice in the face of historical and ongoing colonial violence. Through moving conversations and lived experiences, it shares stories of survival, resistance, and care.
Each English-language episode invites listeners to listen deeply, honour truth, and imagine collective paths toward justice and healing.
The first episode, “Collectives of Care” is now available on Spotify and Apple Podcasts. It features a conversation between Ghayda Hassan and Ramy Barhouche exploring how to sustain hope through activism; the experience of being both embedded in and affected by oppressive systems; and power dynamics across religious groups in Lebanon.
This podcast is part of the broader Resisting Colonizations collective, which includes a rich archive of images, texts, and resources from the April 2024 symposium. We encourage you to (re)visit the symposium’s dedicated site here: https://lnkd.in/ePxY9Vx9
Stay tuned for more episodes—and follow us for updates as new stories are shared.
