After two years of virtual fundraising, Shuffle 33 officially returns with regular in-person activities on Friday, September 23. And, similar to the 2019 event, this year’s walkathon will take place on the same afternoon as Montreal’s climate march.
Members of the Office of Sustainability and other Concordians who want to add their voices to the movement demanding socially just and equitable climate action are registering as part of the Shuffle for Climate Justice team. We are raising money for the Leadership in Environmental Sustainability Shuffle Award, a scholarship created in 2019 to support students in sustainability leadership roles.
Join our team if you are passionate about climate issues and wish to support our student leaders! You can choose to Shuffle from SGW to Loyola, or can join the contingent walking to Mount Royal in order to join the climate march! Either way, you will need some great signage raising awareness for climate action.
Sign-making event
In addition to other community-building activities, we will have two sign-making events in which we will create our own signs out of repurposed material from the Concordia University Centre for Creative Reuse (CUCCR). Join us for some arts and crafts as we get ready to Shuffle for Climate Justice!
Time: Join us for whatever time you have between 12:30 and 2:30 p.m.!
Place: 1200 rue Guy
The event will be held at the CUCCR used material depot. In order to access it, use your access pass at the Grey Nun's gate or ring the doorbell. Follow the signs to the CUCCR depot space, where we will be waiting with plenty of materials!
