As the hype around AI begins to settle, it is time to look at how AI-powered services should actually work and create long-term value in organizations. By starting from user experience and business impact, we can design and develop responsible and value-creating AI solutions. The principles behind human-centered design increase our opportunities to build solutions that strengthen human ability and expertise, make systems easy to understand and contribute to value creation in our operations. It can also make ethical use of AI and data-driven services visible by starting from the people in the business. In this talk, Pontus will exemplify design methods for designing AI-supported work in emergency healthcare.

Pontus Wärnestål (he/him) is an award-winning Service Designer and Human-Computer Interaction researcher, with 20+ years of work and research experience in User Experience, Service Design, and Human-Centered AI. He is the author of 40+ scientific papers and books, including "Designing AI-Powered Services" which is used by several university design and HCI programs.
