“Professionalism” can feel like a set of unwritten rules that everyone else somehow already knows. The reality is simpler – and more learnable. Professionalism is about being proactive in understanding workplace expectations, building trust, showing good judgment, and making it easy for others to work with you.

In this workshop, you’ll learn the unwritten expectations that shape professional environments, how to build strong workplace relationships, and how small, everyday actions influence how you’re perceived. You’ll walk away with practical strategies to show up as someone people trust, respect and want on their team.

Students will be able to:

  • Explain professionalism as a set of learnable habits, behaviours and mindsets that signal trust and reliability at work
  • Identify unwritten workplace norms and expectations
  • Apply the 5 best practices for relationship building
  • Communicate with warmth, clarity and respect while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries
  • Navigate collaboration and team dynamics proactively

By the end, you’ll have a clear sense of how to carry yourself at work – and how small, consistent actions can build a reputation that opens doors.
