Speaking in front of others can be intimidating - but it doesn't have to be. This experiential workshop is designed to help you understand and manage the fear that often accompanies public speaking. This session offers a safe and supportive space to explore the source of your nervousness while introducing simple, effective tools to help you feel more grounded, confident, and in control. You’ll learn how to prepare with purpose, regulate your nerves in the moment, and begin speaking with greater calm - whether in front of a crowd or around a table.

You will learn to:

  • Understand common emotional and psychological roots of public speaking anxiety.
  • Identify personal triggers and underlying beliefs that contribute to speaking fear.
  • Apply simple techniques to stay present and centered while speaking.
  • Reframe negative self-talk into empowering supportive self-talk.
  • Practice breathing, grounding, and mindfulness techniques to manage anxiety in the moment.
  • Deliver short speaking exercises in a low-stakes environment to build confidence.

Facilitator: Rosalia Felice, Communications Specialist, Learning & Development Professional, Public Speaking Champion & Career Strategist
