It is impossible to escape public speaking! Whether you are speaking in front of audiences of two or two thousand, in a job interview, in class, in professional settings, or at formal speaking engagements, it is vital to develop this essential communication skill and effectively express yourself in all contexts.
In this workshop, we will explore proven strategies for effective public speaking while focusing on the most common public speaking barriers including fear/anxiety and perfectionism. We will also dispel common public speaking myths and most importantly, help you meaningfully connect with all your audiences - both in-person and online. Together, we will identify your unique voice to support you in developing a fluid and adaptable style that is authentically you! Speakers at all levels are encouraged to attend.
You will learn:
Also consider Public Speaking Skills: The Everyday, Part 1, to explore and practice improvisational speaking skills and/or Public Speaking Skills: The Prepared Speech, Part 2, to explore and practice prepared public speaking.
