Since its inception, SHIFT has been actively experimenting with structures, processes, and approaches to facilitate collective decision-making across diverse disciplines, worldviews, and perspectives.

Over the past four years, we have collaborated with students, faculty members, community members, and social change actors from across Montreal, receiving feedback and adapting our governance structure.

Now, we are excited to take our experimentation to the next level by connecting with other like-minded individuals who are on their own journey of exploring new practices that value everyone's wisdom.

SHIFT governance learning circle

  • Are you trying to move away from hierarchies in order to make space for everyone’s leadership in your project or team?
  • Are you interested in meeting other people exploring different ways of organizing work and responsibilities?
  • Do you feel frustrated by seeing the same power dynamics repeatedly play out in your social change projects, and are trying something new to change it?
  • Does the way your team makes decisions together sound great on paper, but break down in the day-to-day work?

Come learn, reflect and share your experiences of sharing power, distributed leadership and alternative governance models.

Whether you have years of experience in testing alternative approaches or are simply curious, you are welcome to join!

This event is free, please register here
