Experience this in the calm oasis of the Friends of the Library space (LB-361).  

Come sit or lie down and let the sounds wash over you, your mental state will gradually be altered from a normal waking state to a more relaxed and restorative state.  

Bring your yoga mat! Seats will also be provided. Register or drop-in! 

Irene Feher uses her voice accompanied by singing bowls, a hand pan, ocean drum, flutes, and other gentle instruments to create an immersive sound experience. 

Session dates and times:  

  • Wednesday November 29, 2023 – 12 pm – 12:30 pm  

  • Wednesday December 6, 2023 - 12 pm – 12:30 pm  

  • Wednesday December 13, 2023 - 12 pm – 12:30 pm 

 
For the best experience for yourself and others, we ask the following: 

  • Please arrive 10 minutes before so you can make yourself comfortable 

  • Silence your phone and any other devices 

  • Allow time in your schedule of about 35–40 minutes  

  • 30 minutes for the session  

  • 5-10 minutes to leave slowly and maintain your state of calm. 

 
Facilitator: Dr. Irene Feher is a musician, sound artist and Concordia professor in the Faculty of Music. With over 27 years of teaching experience and a passion for healthy vocal production, Irene combines her discipline as a classically trained singer with her knowledge of vocal function exercises, somatic awareness, and improvisation to create a holistic program of vocal study that is catered to each person she works with.
