Join President Graham Carr and Senior Director of the Office of Indigenous Directions, Manon Tremblay, as they share some of the findings from a report on Concordia University’s colonial history.

The report was commissioned to examine the roles played by the university’s founding institutions—the Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA) for Sir George Williams University and the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits) for Loyola College—as well the Sisters of Charity of Montreal (the Grey Nuns), in residential schools and in the oppression and assimilation of First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples.

The event will feature remarks by Graham Carr, Concordia President and Manon Tremblay, Senior Director of Indigenous Directions.

The release of this report during Concordia’s 50th year is especially significant as it will help pave the way for the next 50 years.

Space is limited.
