Affecting Machines, a working group affiliated with the Applied AI Institute, is excited to launch a set of trading cards that showcase the often-overlooked contributions of women and gender non-conforming folks in technology, computing, and the development of AI.

Join Lindsay Rodgers, Rachel Kirstein, Aviva Majerczyk, and Saskia Kowalchuk for a participatory workshop where we will collaboratively play with and gamify this deck through a series of hands-on activities.

We invite your feedback and there will be opportunities to reflect on the pedagogical value of these cards, as well as contribute your own heroes to this deck and timeline.

Refreshments and childcare will be provided. ASL Interpreter on site. First 25 registrants will receive a 25$ gift card. Please email lindsay.rodgers@concordia.ca for more information.

How can you participate? Join us in person or online by registering for the Zoom Meeting or watching live on YouTube.

Have questions? Send them to info.4@concordia.ca
