Many instructors want to encourage active participation in large classes, but this poses a challenge. How can we assess participation in a class with 50 or more students? This informal session is designed to be a discussion amongst the participants to share their experiences, challenges, questions and ideas around grading participation. Although the focus of this discussion is on large classes, instructors teaching classes of all sizes are welcome.
