The objective of this workshop is to provide participants with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills to look at teaching through a decolonial lens and grounded in Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit (traditional knowledge).

Workshop outcomes:

  • Develop decolonization teaching strategies in higher education.
  • Explore the calls for decolonizing education by Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit traditional knowledge (ITK) and the Truth and Reconciliation (TRC).
  • Examine the principles and components of Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit as a framework for decolonizing education.
