The aim of this workshop is to engage in critical discourse and analysis examining the harmful impacts of mainstream media’s approach to Indigenous-related topics such as harmful stereotypes, racist depictions and mis-conceptions of Indigenous peoples. Participants will explore intervention strategies to address these issues in the context of decolonizing journalism.
