In this workshop, you will learn about four of the top solutions to climate change, how you can contribute to their implementation, and any negative sides or access issues regarding each solution. "Drawdown” refers to a point in the future when levels of greenhouse gases will stop climbing and will start to steadily decline, thereby halting the climate crisis. “Project Drawdown” was developed by a group of scientists who ranked 80 possible solutions to climate change based on their potential to reduce greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.
About the speaker
Adriana Daca is a 3rd year PhD student in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Concordia University, where she conducts research focusing on planetary rovers. Daca is also passionate about sustainability and volunteers with the Sustainability Ambassador Program and the Concordia Precious Plastic Project, while also serving on the Sustainable Concordia board of directors.
This workshop was developed through mentorship by Concordia's Sustainability Ambassador Program and the fee levy organization Sustainable Concordia, and is now being presented through Sustainable Concordia's Sustain'Alive Series.
