This reimagining of "Mixed Doubles" and other texts by George Feydeau explores the vaudeville style of physical comedy, and integrates contemporary dance choreographies to make Feydeau's universe explode. By casting across gender (male-female, non-binary) the production challenges the misogyny in the writing, while a feminist & decolonial lens invites students to explore questions about the relevance, problems, and potential for subversion of such profoundly colonial texts.
