Eroca Nicols will share some consent strategies, successes and flops they have encountered through making choreography with audience participation. Focusing on The Death Trilogy (Truthteller, 2015, Taking it to The Grave- created with Glamdrew Henderson, 2016 and The Reckoning, 2018,) Eroca will break down some of the ways consent figures into the creation and performance of these works.

Content notes: Topics discussed include death, dying, terminal illness, trans life and death.

Eroca Nicols is a choreographer, a dancer, and a convener of contexts for collective liberation through relation building and embodiment. The teaching, performing and training they do are deeply influenced by their ongoing study of practices including choreography, embodied consent, ritual, community care/disruption and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. They are the current Artist-in Residence in Concordia University's Contemporary Dance Department.
