CUJAH (Concordia Undergraduate Journal of Art History) is hosting a Black History Month Speaker Series event titled "Introduction to Canadian Slavery" featuring Dr. Charmaine Nelson, a pioneering scholar in the field.

Dr. Charmaine Nelson's expertise in Black Canadian studies and the visual culture of slavery in North America promises to provide invaluable insights into this often overlooked aspect of our nation's history. Her presentation will offer a comprehensive understanding of the experiences of enslaved Black Canadians and their contributions to shaping our society. There will also be Q&A session following her lecture.
