As the Gull Flies is an immersive educational film/installation at the Biosphere that explores the relationships between ring-billed gulls, urban toxicologists, waste experts and Montreal residents. As an action and reflection in co-creating a sustainable future, we invite everyone to join our guided WasteScapes tours. There will be four exploratory excursions, some pedestrian and others cycling. These kinetic spaces will foster the exploration of the watery histories that led to the development of île Ste. Hélène and île Notre-Dame. The tours will be led by guides experienced in a range of topics including place-based learning, outdoor family adventures, cycling the Islands, and expanded cinemas. Participants will also have the chance to download the augmented WasteScapes app featuring the tour’s corresponding audio.
