This workshop will bring the community together to collage around positive headlines about climate action and sustainability progress around the world. The art pieces will be shown for the next year in the display case on the 12th floor of the Hall Building, replacing the pieces from last year's event.
The Climate Emergency Committee is a group of students and professors from Concordia University that have come together to take action against the global climate change emergency. Inspired by the momentum generated by youth around the world protesting their governments’ insufficient progress towards meeting carbon reduction targets, we pledge to dedicate our efforts towards developing and implementing solutions to the climate crisis and to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
This event is brought to you by the Loyola College for Diversity and Sustainability, the Loyola Sustainability Research Centre, and the Department of Design and Computation Arts in collaboration with 4TH SPACE, with the support of the Office of the Vice-President, Research, Innovation and Impact; the School of Community and Public Affairs and First Peoples Studies; the Science College; and the Departments of Communication Studies; Geography, Planning and Environment; and Political Science at Concordia University.
This event will contribute to the Sustainability in Research section of Concordia's Sustainability Action Plan by increasing the visibility of sustainability research at Concordia.
