Assessment planning
Assessment is a wider reaching term than grading; it encompasses marking assignments and allows instructors to gauge students’ learning on a task, a course or a program. As Lindstrom et al (2017) have shown, the assessment process includes all the ways we systematically provide learners with opportunities to demonstrate their learning, generate evidence of that learning and receive feedback to enhance learning, before making professional judgments on the extent of their learning.
