Digital assessments
Digital assessments are online or computer-based assessments that deliver, grade and/or offer feedback to students.
Moodle
You can create online Moodle quizzes that are automatically graded. Currently Moodle is the only digital assessment method available at the university, but you may still consider integrating technology into your assignments through online submissions and rubrics on Moodle, discussion forums, or peer review tools. These differ from digital assessments in that they are not automatically graded.
CTL offers plenty of options for teaching with technology.
Third-party tools
Thinking of using a third-party tool? Be sure to consider the protection of students’ personal information and review the guidelines on using third party technologies.
Should you wish to offer an exam online, contact the Centre for Teaching & Learning for more information. To use Moodle’s embedded Quiz Tool as an alternative, contact the Moodle support team for further details.
