Slow it down. Relieve stress with restorative movement. Turn inward for peace of mind and rest through quiet, gentle asana. This physical practice incorporates grounding postures synchronized with mindful breath — ending in total bliss.
Come to 4TH SPACE during your lunch break to release, refocus and reconnect during a yoga class led by Dina Vescio.
Sometimes energetic and dynamic, at other times slow and steady, the physical practice Vescio instructs always incorporates mindful breath and movement. She hopes to liberate her students from the preconceived ways they define themselves to honour and accept their authentic selves, realizing how truly awesome they are. Vescio’s teaching reflects her beliefs in truth, love and self-care.
This session is free but registration is mandatory. A share circle with Vescio will follow the class from 1 to 1:30 p.m.
About Dina Vescio
Dina Vescio (MA 09) began taking yoga classes in 2007 as a way to relieve stress from the task of writing her thesis while pursuing her master’s degree in Concordia’s Department of Art History. She committed to a consistent yoga practice in 2013 after an ankle injury caused Vescio to give up team sports and realign her physical activities to regain control, balance, strength and stability of her body.
Her first yoga retreat with Rachel Brathen changed her life in 2014. She found her true self. In 2016, she completed the 250-hour Luna Yoga Teacher Training and leaped into teaching.
Vescio is also the department coordinator in Concordia’s Department of Art History.
