In a Canada-wide speaking tour, Oxfam's Duncan Green introduces his new book How Change Happens and explores how political and social change takes place, and the role of individuals and organizations in influencing that change. Oxfam-Québec is now looking for a venue in Montreal. We thought Concordia, via the School of Community and Public Affairs, would be a splendid place to host it.

In his talk, Duncan Green discusses the challenges that 'systems thinking' creates for traditional activism and aid, and how a 'power and systems approach' requires citizens, whether in campaigns, companies or governments, to fundamentally rethink the way they understand the world and try to influence it. He also provides a chance for the audience to challenge, engage and add their own perspectives.
