Undergraduate programs

Study the faculty of human language, the languages themselves, or the classics of ancient Greece and Rome.


Classics Classics encompasses the study of all aspects of ancient Greece and Rome.
The department offers BA honours and major programs in classics with concentrations in Classical Languages and Literature and Classical Civilization. It also offers minors in Classical Languages and Literature, Classical Civilization, and Classical Archaeology.

Modern languages Understand the world and the self through the study of other languages, cultures and literatures.
The department offers BA major and minor programs in Arabic, Chinese, German, Italian, and Spanish. It also offers non-program courses.

Linguistics Linguistics is the scientific study of the human language faculty.
The department offers a BA Honours in Linguistics and a BA Major in Linguistics, as well as a minor program in linguistics.
