Prohibited items
Bringing prohibited items means you will face the consequences outlined in the Code of Community Living Standards and Discipline, including the possibility of being asked to leave residence.
You may bring soft furnishings like mattresses and rugs ONLY if they are brand-new and in their original packaging.
Other prohibited items:
- hot plates
- microwave ovens (you'll have access to microwaves in common areas)
- coffeemakers or kettles (same as above)
- rice cookers, toaster ovens, any type of cooking grill or sandwich makers
- electric blankets
- personal mini fridges (your room will have a fridge already)
- vapourizers
- pets of any species (including those with fins or wings)
- drums or amplified instruments without headphones
- candles, incense and pot-pourri burners
- water coolers
- portable heaters
- portable air conditioning units
- humidifiers or dehumidifiers
- weapons, real or simulated
- extension cords over six feet in length
- funnels or any other high-risk drinking paraphernalia
- smoking paraphernalia such as bongs, pipes, hookahs vaporizers or electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes)
- illegal drugs
