Community Service Initiative
The Community Service Initiative (CSI) at the John Molson School of Business (JMSB) at Concordia University encourages and promotes community service and links the resources of the JMSB with the needs of communities including non-profit organizations, social enterprises, small businesses, governmental agencies and institutions. The learning objectives of CSI are consistent with and support JMSB’s seven strategic imperatives and Concordia University’s strategic direction of community engagement and social responsibility and its strategic framework, nine directions for a next-generation university.
The CSI seeks to develop and coordinate opportunities for students, faculty and staff, and community agencies to collaborate and build partnerships aimed at learning from each other while working together for the benefit of society.
Experiential Learning through Community Service
The CSI links experiential learning with service to the community through Community Engaged Scholarship including: Community Engaged Teaching and Learning, Community Engaged Research and Community Engaged Service
