Microsoft 365 for students
Active Concordia students have access to Microsoft 365 Education, a collection of applications to support your coursework, communication, and collaboration.
With Microsoft 365, you can check your Concordia email, complete assignments, organize your files, communicate with professors, and collaborate with classmates in real time. Because it’s cloud-based, you can access your work from most devices, whether you’re on or off campus.
Your Concordia email (via Outlook), is the university's official communication channel, as outlined in the university’s email policy. You can install Outlook on your phone and/or computer so you can easily check your Concordia email.
As a registered student, you can install Microsoft 365 apps including Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint on up to 5 computers, five phones, and 5 tablets at no cost. You also receive 1 TB of OneDrive storage.
The applications are available for free and include:
- Outlook: Manage your Concordia email, calendar, and contacts.
- Teams: Chat with your instructor and classmates, participate in group discussions, and attend virtual meetings or classes.
- Word: Write essays, reports, and assignments.
- Excel: Organize and analyze data, create charts, and manage budgets or research data.
- PowerPoint: Create presentations for class projects and seminars.
- OneNote: Take and organize notes in one place.
- OneDrive: Store, access, and share files securely online.
- SharePoint: Collaborate on shared documents and access group or course resources.
- Copilot: Get help generating ideas, summarizing content, and drafting text.

How to get it?
After registering for your first term at Concordia, you will receive your Concordia email address. This is the email you will use to communicate with Concordia.
Access your Concordia email:
- First, set up multi-factor authentication.
- Then, log in to your Outlook inbox using your Concordia email account.
Once you’ve accessed your email through Outlook, you can access the other Microsoft 365 apps:
- Go to the Microsoft 365 login page.
- Log in using your Concordia email address.
- Work on the cloud, or download and install the applications you would like to use on your laptop or desktop computer.
Install Microsoft 365 apps directly on your phone or tablet:
- Get Outlook for free from the Google Play Store (Android) or the Apple App Store (iOS).
- Get some or all of the Microsoft 365 apps on your phone or tablet from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.

Your username and password are the same as your Student Hub netname and password. If you have forgotten them, visit the password reset page.
If you are logged into any other Microsoft services (live.com, Hotmail, MSN, etc.), you will be unable to login to your Microsoft 365 account at the same time. Ensure you have logged out of these services before attempting to access your Concordia email account. If you are still unable to login, contact the Service Desk.
