Double degree program
Students from partner engineering schools across France and Belgium can join the Gina Cody School of Engineering and Computer Science to complete a double degree program. You can earn your engineering degree at home and a master’s degree from Concordia.
Start your double degree journey in Quebec
With more than 40 partner institutions across France and Belgium, the process is straightforward. After completing four years of study at home (240 ECTS credits), you continue your studies in Montreal to complete a master’s degree. Most programs take between sixteen months and two years to finish.
Why students choose the Gina Cody School
Students choose the Gina Cody School for its strong research culture, supportive faculty and opportunities for academic and professional growth.
As part of one of Canada’s largest engineering and computer science communities, you will:
- Study in advanced labs working in areas such as aerospace, cybersecurity, applied artificial intelligence and sustainability.
- Benefit from living in a French-speaking province while completing your studies in English.
- Develop in-demand skills that open doors to careers in Quebec, across France and Belgium, and around the world.
Life in Montreal & Quebec
Montreal is vibrant, safe and easy to explore. Cafés, festivals, museums and neighbourhoods are steps from campus. Nature is close too, with hiking, skiing and national parks across Quebec.
The mix of European heritage and North American culture makes the city feel both new and familiar. For many French students, it quickly becomes a second home.

Choose your program & apply
Before applying, double degree students should consult their school’s International Relations office. This will confirm which Gina Cody School programs you are eligible for and ensures alignment with your studies in your home country.
The Gina Cody School offers both course-based programs (MEng and MApCompSc) and thesis-based programs (MASc and MCompSc).
Your tuition advantage
Students from France holding French or Franco-Belgian citizenship pay the same subsidized tuition rates as Quebec residents. This offers access to a high-quality North American education at a significantly lower cost than most universities.
To qualify for the reduced tuition rate, students must hold a valid CAQ and study permit.
International student support
The International Students Office supports you throughout your journey, from study permits and pre-arrival preparation to work options and health insurance. Advisors also provide personalized guidance, including support with post-graduation work permits for students who wish to extend their stay in Quebec.
