Dr. Habib Benali has been awarded a research grant by the Alzheimer’s Research Foundation in France for the project titled "AI-Powered Digital Brain Twin for Personalised Modelling and Neuroimaging of Glio-Neurovascular Dynamics in Alzheimer’s Disease: Advancing Early Detection and Therapeutic Interventions." The grant amount is $450K for 3 years.

Dr. Rodolfo Coutinho has been awarded the NOVA-FRQNT-NSERC grant for the project "Network Compute Fabric for 6G Time-Critical Systems".  The amount of the grant is $225K over 3 years.

Dr. Rastko Selmic and his PhD student Mohamed Zareer have been featured in the news for their work on "Maximizing Opinion Polarization Using Double Deep Q-Learning on Social Networks.” Read full article.

• Student Amir Hosseinpour has received the GCS 2025 Excellence in Teaching by a Teaching Assistant Award.
• Students Lucas Souza (supervised by Dr. Luis Rodrigues) and Taha Koleilat (Dr. Hassan Rivaz) have been awarded the 2025-2026 FQRNT Doctoral Awards.
• Students Nicholas Kawwas (Dr. Hassan Rivaz) and Muhammad Abdullah Tenveer (Dr. Glenn Cowan) have been awarded the 2025-2026 NSERC Master's Awards.

Dr. M. N. S. Swamy is the recipient of the prestigious 2025 IEEE Canada AGL McNaughton Award. This is the highest award given by IEEE Canada to outstanding Canadian engineers who are recognized for their exemplary contributions to the engineering profession.

Dr. Prag Pillay and his team have been awarded the IEEE IES Electrical Machines Best Paper Award at IECON 2024 for their paper, "Design of Iron-Nitride-Based Permanent Magnet Variable Flux Motors."

Dr. Shahin Hashtrudi Zad is the recipient of the 2024-2025 Gina Cody School Award for Leadership and Innovation in Teaching.

Dr. Hassan Rivaz has been awarded the FRQNT team grant. 

Dr. Bahareh Goodarzi is the recipient of the 2024–25 Concordia President’s Excellence in Teaching Award (PETA). She has been awarded the GCS 2025 EDI Award for her leadership role in organizing the GirlSET (Girls Summer Engineering and Technology) Program as well.

Ms. Oumaima Barhoumi, a graduate student working under the supervision of Dr. Sofiene Tahar, is the recipient of the First Prize Award at a national competition held during the 14th edition of the "Journée de l’innovation ReSMiQ (JIR)." Barhoumi's innovative work on the formal analysis of transportation safety was ranked first among 24 selected graduate projects from 10 Quebec universities.
