Duties and Responsibilities

The SDG Innovation Network (https://www.sdginnovnetwk.com/) was created by eight Quebec universities in order to conduct research and development activities in the frame of digitalization.

Concordia University is now hiring a research associate in order to coordinate activities related to the network within Concordia.

Duties include:

  • Coordinate, in collaboration with the Concordia SDG leaders, activities around research projects at Concordia taking place within the SDG network
  • Actively search for industrial partners that would be interested in conducting collaborative R&D activities in the frame of the SDG network
  • Conduct research activities in the frame of
    • electro-polishing of additively manufactured parts
    • digitalization of manufacturing production lines

The successful candidate will bring:

  • Working experience in the frame of R&D projects related to digitalization of manufacturing
  • Working experience in electro-polishing and related technologies
  • Knowledge from the fields of machine learning and data engineering
  • Ability to conduct meetings in French and English

Qualifications

Ph.D. degree in Engineering related to digitalization and manufacturing

Salary information and classification

Salary Information: between $26.68 up to $36.94 per hour upon qualifications

Approximate number of weekly hours of work

40 hours

Planned Start and End Date of Position

Start date: upon mutual agreement and for one year (with possibility to extend up to four years)
