The Atlas Analytics Lab in Computer Science and Software Engineering (CSSE) department at Concordia University invites applications for a research assistant position from graduate students in the area of software development and machine learning for duration of six months (March 21 – August 31st). Electronic applications should be submitted no later than March 20th, 2024.

Summary of Responsibilities

You’ll be part of a cross-functional team that’s responsible to:

  • work with research and development teams to ideate software solutions
  • design conception of UI cloud software related to computational pathology in deep learning to deployment of a full software development life cycle
  • build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design
  • test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
  • write technical documentation and work with research team to improve software.

Number of Hours of the Contract and Hourly Rate

A total of 300 Hours is assigned for this position with minimum Hourly Rate of $22.14.

The minimum hourly rate is based on the student RA current degree program level at the Masters level.

Supervisor

The RA position will be under supervision of Dr. Mahdi S. Hosseini from Computer Science and Software Engineering (CSSE) department at Concordia University. The student will be a member of the Atlas Analytics Lab for duration of the RA position.

Job Qualifications & Requirements

The successful candidate will be selected among graduate students majoring in computer science or software engineering. The successful candidates preferabliy posses:

  1. Excellent programming skills (e.g. Python, PyTorch, Tensorflow)
  2. Proficient writing skills in English fluently and idiomatically
  3. Professional communication skills, willingness to work as a team, and strong motivation
  4. Good background in machine learning and mathematics
  5. Has a degree in biology or medicine diciplines
