Music facilities

The Department of Music has superb, state-of-the-art facilities on the 8th floor of Concordia’s John Molson School of Business.

Classrooms

Our all classrooms are outfitted with high quality networked computers and sound systems that allow for dynamic teaching and demonstrations.

Electroacoustics studios

Our electroacoustic studios function as fully equipped practice spaces, giving students dedicated environments to explore ideas, develop skills, and advance their creative work.

Practice rooms

Our sixteen climate-controlled practice studios are located on the eighth floor of the MB building.

  • Most are equipped with one Yamaha upright piano, some with two
  • Two are dedicated drum practice studios
  • MB-8.345 is the largest practice room and equipped with a Yamaha grand and drum kit
  • Easily accessible
  • All studios are equipped with desks and chairs

Rooms are available 24/7.

Equipment depot

With two campus locations, the Equipment Depot provides short-term access to a variety of equipment such as:

  • Cameras and accessories
  • Cables
  • Microphones
  • Guitar and Bass amplifiers
  • Wide variety of electronic and musical instruments
  • Recording devices
  • Computer expertise and technical support troubleshooting of all descriptions
  • Large instrument storage for basses and harps

EV-5 Depot
