Volt-Age has introduced a prestigious new student award — the Denis Faubert Doctoral Fellowship — in recognition of Dr. Denis Faubert’s lasting impact on collaborative innovation in defence, energy and aerospace.

The new fellowship is awarded to the Volt-Age doctoral applicant with the highest GPA whose research most closely reflects Dr. Faubert’s pioneering leadership in these fields.

With a career that bridges the public and private sectors, Faubert has served as CEO of the Consortium for Research and Innovation in Aerospace in Québec (CRIAQ) and the Consortium for Aerospace Research and Innovation in Canada (CARIC). He also led Hydro-Québec’s Research Institute (IREQ) and served as scientific advisor to the Canadian Armed Forces. He is currently an advisor to the innovation supercluster Scale AI.

“Denis Faubert is a champion of collaborative R&D and an inspiration for the next generation of researchers who want to make a real impact,” says Karim Zaghib, CEO of Volt-Age. “This fellowship celebrates that spirit and recognizes outstanding student excellence within our program.”
