Candygrams for colleagues

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, what better time to remind your work BFF how much they mean to you, or show a co-worker you appreciate their help and support?

Let’s face it: many of us spend more time with our workmates than our partners or families. They make work more fun and understand our day-to-day in ways our other friends just can’t.

30 Rock As in NBC TV's 30 Rock, co-workers often make work more fun and provide support in our day-to-day challenges. Faculty and staff can now honour colleagues with a Valentine's Day Community Campaign candygram.

Concordia’s Community Campaign launched a new initiative to help faculty and staff members show colleagues they care this Valentine’s Day – with a personalised candygram.

“Every candygram supports a great cause, helping our students succeed at Concordia and beyond,” says Valerie Roseman, development officer for Community Programs. “And who wouldn’t love a bag of treats with a personal message from an appreciative co-wo-worker?”

Whether for a scholarship that needs to be topped up, a department’s studio or lab that needs new equipment, gifts to the Community Campaign — Concordia’s annual fundraising appeal — provide the flexibility to respond to opportunities and financial challenges that arise throughout the academic year.

Community Campaign candygrams can be sent by those who contribute to Concordia’s annual fundraising appeal through payroll deduction.

New payroll pledges before February 5 entitle the donor to send a free personalized candygram to a faculty or staff member on campus. Existing and new payroll deduction donors who make an additional donation of $10 or more are entitled to send one candygram. The sweet treats will be delivered on Friday, February 12.

“Giving through payroll deduction is an easy and convenient way to direct your gift to the area you care most about,” says Roseman.

“This Valentine’s Day, let’s help our students as we celebrate our special colleagues.”
