Greg Adelstein, GrDip (sports admin.) 92, likes to mix business with pleasure, cheer on the Habs and support Concordia athletes — all at the same time.

How? The president of digital signage firm iGotcha Media recently outbid other chancers in a web auction for a Bell Centre loge for 12 and a night of National Hockey League action.

“It was a first,” says Adelstein, who savoured a Montreal Canadiens’ 6-4 win over New York Islanders on January 17. “I was so happy. It was a really exciting game.”

Adelstein treated his key National Bank clients and their spouses to the sporting night.

“We had the event catered,” says Adelstein, who guest lectures at the John Molson School of Business. “Everyone loved it.”

Proceeds from the auction, which is organized by Advancement and Alumni Relations, fund bursaries for Concordia student-athletes who play for Stinger teams.

Three auctions in two years have raised over $10,000.

Adelstein says he plans to bid in future loge sell-offs. “I like to be involved with the university and support great causes.”
