As the Concordia Centraide 2023 Campaign nears its official end on November 23, members of the university community are invited to celebrate another successful fundraising effort. The Closing Event will be held at the SHIFT Centre for Social Transformation, LB 145, on November 29 from 10:30 to11:30 a.m.

Concordia President Graham Carr will welcome those at the event, where this year’s total funds raised, raffle ticket winners and the Pet Photo Contest’s top three vote-getters will be revealed.

The annual Concordia Centraide Campaign has been going strong since 1975. Centraide of Greater Montreal, started one year earlier, supports 375 agencies and projects and more than 800,000 individuals in Montreal and Laval and on the South Shore.

“While local and world events have been on everyone’s minds this year, the most vulnerable members of our society continue to be at risk,” says Annie Gérin, dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts and campaign co-chair. “It’s encouraging to see how the Concordia community has stepped up in countless ways to help raise funds, and I’m confident we’ll reach our goal of $200,000.”

“Our final 2023 count will include all gifts received before year’s end,” says Philippe Beauregard, chief communications officer and the campaign’s other co-chair.

“For those who haven’t yet done so, please consider making a donation to the Centraide campaign or contributing through our remaining efforts. For those who already have given, please consider increasing your contribution.”
